Procedure of Certification
Application:
When a person enquires about certification, a general information package and application form is sent out to them. At the moment, application is only available via email.
If the person is interested, they are requested to fill out and sign the application form and send it back to MtL – electronically.
Examination:
The exam is then sent out to the applicant.
The applicant fills out the exam (multiple choice/true or false/point form) and sends it back, with a fee of $100 to pay for marking, admin & follow up.
There is no time limit.
All answers must be typed and the exam, with answers, must be submitted electronically in word or PDF format.
The paper is then marked and results sent back. (turnaround about 1 month)
100% is necessary, so wrong answers can be attempted again with assistance if needed.
Assessment:
Once passed, the applicant is given information about up coming assessment seminars. It is up to the applicant to book in to a seminar directly with an assessor and pay the assessor directly.
The 2 day assessment and training seminar has a set fee of $500 plus accommodation, meals & travel expenses.
Once this is passed, the assessor fills out an assessment form which is sent into MTL for final processing. If areas need to be followed up on, the assessor does that directly with the applicant.
The decision to pass or not to pass is solely the responsibility of the assessor and cannot be appealed.
Funds will not be refunded except at the discretion of the assessor.
The applicant has the option to attend another assessment seminar, at full cost, if they are failed. There is no limit to the number of attempts an applicant may make – however, each assessor has the right to deny admittance to any future seminars they may hold at their own discretion.
In certain circumstances, an exception may be granted to certify an applicant without the need to attend an assessment seminar. This will be at the sole discretion of Move to Learn.
Certification:
Once an applicant has passed all assessments, MTL will contact the applicant and inform them they have passed.
The applicant will then send in an administration fee of $170 (covering new CP information package & first year’s membership fee).
A certificate will then be sent to them, and MtL will work with the newly certified practitioner to organise a MtL website listing for them and other personalised materials.
